25 things that I learned in 2009

I just wanted to take the time to share a few things that I have learned this year. Like I mentioned in my video, I didn’t really learn all of them this year but some of them made a big impact on my life in 2009.

As this year comes to an end and as I prepare myself to enter this new decade, I can’t stop myself from reflecting on 2009.

Here’s 25 things that I learned in 2009.

  1. There is no substitute for hard work.
  2. You can only be yourself so why not be your best self.
  3. We all need a break.
  4. The only way to get good at something is to do it over, over and over again.
  5. If you have a skill and you don’t use it, you will lose it.
  6. If you don’t have a personal relationship with God, you can’t call him when you’re in trouble.
  7. The words we choose to say out loud should be carefully thought of, each of them have so much power.
  8. Every human being was put here for a special purpose, some just don’t know it yet.
  9. Every day should be celebrated, life is short and we never know when it’s our time to go.
  10. Good health, good friends and a good family are among the greatest blessings we can get.
  11. True love is way more than a word.
  12. Forgiving is not easy but it’s worth it.
  13. One decision can change the rest of your life.
  14. You don’t need to be rich to give time or money.
  15. Giving to others is a sign that you believe in their potential
  16. To be a good leader you first need to learn how to be a great follower.
  17. If you believe in yourself, more people will believe in you.
  18. Most people chasing the money will never be wealthy.
  19. Passive income is the name of the game.
  20. If you give more, you get more.
  21. Values are really important. There are things you should never compromise on.
  22. Being a real man is a fulltime job.
  23. Everyday you get to choose between doing good or evil.
  24. There is nothing such thing as a small thing. You never know what impact something will have in the future.
  25. There is no top, unless you get to heaven.

Feel free to share a few things that you’ve learned this year. Perhaps we learned some of the same things ;-)
